Why do you need to know an object's history to be able to use it?

This kind of ties in with my history assignment to name why history is important. But there's this question in my assignment, ';Why does a common person need to know the history of an object when it has no use to you ( such as the Statue of Liberty ) or works whether you know its history or not ( such as the wheel) ?';Why do you need to know an object's history to be able to use it?
because humans are curious. we like to know where things come from, how they were made, when they were made and so on. it interests us(or atleast me) i hope this helped

-steph =]Why do you need to know an object's history to be able to use it?
People don't NEED to know, but if you never ask WHY you'll never learn.
