Mysterious object over the space shuttle?

do you guys think it was an ';alien'; a ufo, or simply ';tiles that protect the shuttle from overheating'; as nasa apperantly said, i dought its just tiles, tiles arent that big or round! what do you guys think? are we alone?Mysterious object over the space shuttle?
We are not alone. Anyone who would think that in this whole, unmeasurable universe we, on Earth, are the only intelligent beings is totally unlogical. I don't know what they are viewing out of the space shuttle, but if it were something that ';fell off';, wouldn't that object just keep going, instead of keeping pace???Mysterious object over the space shuttle?
An object in motion tends to stay in motion. 2 objects separated from a single initial object tend to share the same velocity (speed in the same direction.) In the absence of different accelerations between the objects, they would continue to share similar orbits. Report Abuse

Probaly just some rubbish, or a big chunk of poop from the earlier rockets.
Maybe it's pieces of ';trash'; from the defective air scrubber from the Russians. Someone left their tool box outside again. Hell, they were losing bolts and tools already with that addition they were working on. If it was alien I doubt they would talk about it. Wouldn't it be nice of them to rescue our Astronauts anyway? Show them what a real ship is made like? (oh boy)

Beats me. Will just have to wait and see when they get back. Hope it nothing, saw one shuttle explode, don't want to see another.
It is in nearly the same orbit and appeared right after a small burn. Chances are it is something that shook loose during the burn. NASA probably wants to figure out what it is before they re-enter in case it indicates something that needs to be attached for successful re-entry (like a tile.)
NASA just made the whole thing up to get more money from Congress.
This is a good example that shows how confused people are at the term UFO. And as the first answerer noted, its not ';flying';: actually it's orbiting under no power. There are thousands of pieces of space junk orbiting the earth (see url). Lots of them bolts and nuts. So just because NASA or someone identifies something as a UFO doesn't mean it is something alien or mysterious. It might just be a nut.





As opposed to the alien and mysterious nuts who claim it must be aliens.
